Fees and payments
Muddy Ruckers sessions are paid in advance when you make a booking via your ClassForKids account who use Stripe to process the payment based on the amount due at the time of booking. The fees are the based on the day(s) you have selected (including any early drop off/late pick up options).
Your Muddy Ruckers place will automatically be booked and you will receive a confirmation email.
Dress code
Muddy Ruckers asks all players to dress for the weather in their sportswear as we will be spending lots of time outside. This may include hats, gloves, layers, waterproofs, sun protection, change of clothes, etc.
We ask all players to bring their rugby boots and trainers as we have to remove rugby boots before entering the club house.
To ensure health and safety is met during Muddy Ruckers sessions, children should not wear jewellery, have their hair tied back off their face and should not be eating.
Collection and drop-off
Please park to the left side of the rugby club building as you look at it. We will be waiting to greet you inside the first set of glass doors on your left (look out for our "Registration This Way" sign!).
We will bring your child(ren) to the same place for your collection at the end of the day and children will only be released to you once we have confirmed your collection password (provided when you booked them on to Muddy Ruckers).
No responsibility is held by Muddy Ruckers for any child until they have been registered by a member of the Muddy Ruckers team at their designated start time and once they have been released to their parent/guardian after their session.
Cancellations
Any bookings cancelled by Muddy Ruckers due to severe weather, illness or any other reason will be notified via email. We will assess any situation and make a decision as early as possible. Please ensure all contact details are up to date to receive important messages. Any classes cancelled by Muddy Ruckers will be refunded in the same means as payment. If at your discretion, you wish to cancel a booking up to 7 days before the booking date, Muddy Ruckers will refund 50% of the fee. If you cancel with less than 7 day’s notice, fees will not be refunded.
Illness and Injury
If your child is too unwell to attend Muddy Ruckers or is too injured to participate, refunds will only be given with a doctors note.
Drugs, Alcohol & Smoking
Muddy Ruckers operate a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol, drugs and smoking. None of the above are permitted on site due to the hazards and health and safety of passive smoking, alcohol and drug use. All premises regularly hold activities which involve young children, and we have a duty of care to protect the community in which we operate.
Muddy Ruckers Coaches
All coaches at Muddy Ruckers are Enhanced DBS checked. We also ensure our coaches are first aid trained and hold the relevant RFU rugby coaching qualifications. If you wish to see any of the qualifications or certificates, please contact us at muddyruckers@outlook.com
Health and Safety
Muddy Ruckers takes seriously their responsibility to ensure the safety of their players. All players must have a completed Registration Form when booking via ClassForKids with clear information regarding emergency contacts and any relevant medical history.
A copy of emergency contact numbers will be kept on our registers.
- It is the parent’s responsibility to notify Muddy Ruckers of any changes to their emergency contact details
- In case of a Fire emergency all coaches have a clear understanding of responsibilities. They must be understood by all following the procedures of the relevant premises.
- Muddy Ruckers will undertake regular assessment of risks regarding premises hired and any concerns will be raised with the providers
- We are committed to ensuring all employees/volunteers are competent to do their tasks and to give them adequate training
- It is Muddy Ruckers responsibility to keep a fully equipped First Aid Box at all premises. In case of an incident an Accident / Incident report must be made
- If required, Muddy Ruckers will contact the emergency services first, then the parent / guardian of the player(s) involved by the telephone number on the ClassForKids register
- Parents understand that rugby is as active as engagement as any other sport, and whilst every effort is made to avoid them, injuries can happen. Muddy Ruckers accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained via any means other than a coach’s negligence
- Players will be supervised during the session they have been booked on to and parents / carers must ensure the safety of their children before and after the Muddy Ruckers Rugby Camp has started/finished.
- Players, parents/guardians should inform Muddy Ruckers of any special health considerations or existing injuries before participating
- Parents must be responsible for ensuring your child’s punctuality.
- Dress code must be observed at all times, especially footwear for safe rugby practice. Only trainers to be worn in the rugby club to protect the floor and for health and safety
- Players should not wear any jewellery that may pose a risk to themselves or others (stud earrings, and jewellery worn for religious or cultural reasons are acceptable)
- Chewing gum is not allowed. Packed lunches and snacks should be provided by parents and must be nut free. Refillable water bottles must be provided for each player.

Child protection and Safeguarding
Muddy Ruckers operates as a safe environment and the protection and safeguarding of the children in our care is paramount. All coaches are Enhanced DBS checked and are appropriately trained. We have a safeguarding and child protection policy available to view at any time by emailing us at muddyruckers@outlook.com
Photography and Filming
Photography and filming by parents is strictly prohibited. Muddy Ruckers may employ a photographer to take still images or video footage. The images may also be used to advertise Muddy Ruckers in differing forms of marketing such as social media accounts or a website. When registering for Muddy Ruckers, parents/guardians will be asked to complete a parental consent form to the use of images of children to sign.
Anti-bullying and anti-social behaviour
Muddy Ruckers operates a zero-tolerance policy to bullying or anti-social behaviour.
Muddy Ruckers states that any unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated during our rugby camps.
Unacceptable behaviour may result in the player’s exclusion from the rugby camp. Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated off parents/carers or other family members and could result in parent/carers or family members been banned from collection/drop off.
Unacceptable behaviour includes – swearing, spitting, fighting and derogatory comments towards others.
Should any issues arise that are a cause for concern, please let us know and we will deal with the situation appropriately.
